Surah Al-A’la

Daftar Surah

Sabbiḥisma rabbikal-a‘lā.
[1] Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,

Allażī khalaqa fasawwā.
[2] Who created and proportioned

Wal-lażī qaddara fahadā.
[3] And who destined and [then] guided

Wal-lażī akhrajal-mar‘ā.
[4] And who brings out the pasture

Fa ja‘alahū guṡā'an aḥwā.
[5] And [then] makes it black stubble.

Sanuqri'uka falā tansā.
[6] We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,

[7] Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.

Wa nuyassiruka lil-yusrā.
[8] And We will ease you toward ease.

Fa żakkir in nafa‘atiż-żikrā.
[9] So remind, if the reminder should benefit;

Sayażżakkaru may yakhsyā.
[10] He who fears [Allah] will be reminded.

Wa yatajannabuhal-asyqā.
[11] But the wretched one will avoid it -

Allażī yaṣlan-nāral-kubrā.
[12] [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,

Ṡumma lā yamūtu fīhā wa lā yaḥyā.
[13] Neither dying therein nor living.

Qad aflaḥa man tazakkā.
[14] He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

Wa żakarasma rabbihī fa ṣallā.
[15] And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.

Bal tu'ṡirūnal-ḥayātad-dun-yā.
[16] But you prefer the worldly life,

Wal-ākhiratu khairuw wa abqā.
[17] While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.

Inna hāżā lafiṣ-ṣuḥufil-ūlā.
[18] Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,

Ṣuḥufi ibrāhīma wa mūsā.
[19] The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
