Daftar Surah

Al-ḥāqqah(tu).
[1] The Inevitable Reality -

Mal-ḥāqqah(tu).
[2] What is the Inevitable Reality?

Wa mā adrāka mal-ḥāqqah(tu).
[3] And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality?

Każżabat ṡamūdu wa ‘ādum bil-qāri‘ah(ti).
[4] Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity.

Fa'ammā ṡamūdu fa uhlikū biṭ-ṭāgiyah(ti).
[5] So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].

Wa ammā ‘ādun fa'uhlikū birīḥin ṣarṣarin ‘ātiyah(tin).
[6] And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind

Sakhkharahā ‘alaihim sab‘a layāliw wa ṡamāniyata ayyām(in), ḥusūman fataral-qauma fīhā ṣar‘ā, ka'annahum a‘jāzu nakhlin khāwiyah(tin).
[7] Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.

Fahal tarā lahum mim bāqiyah(tin).
[8] Then do you see of them any remains?

Wa jā'a fir‘aunu wa man qablahū wal-mu'tafikātu bil-khāṭi'ah(ti).
[9] And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin.

Fa ‘aṣau rasūla rabbihim fa akhażahum akhżatar rābiyah(tan).
[10] And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity].

Innā lammā ṭagal-mā'u ḥamalnākum fil-jāriyah(ti).
[11] Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship

Linaj‘alahā lakum tażkirataw wa ta‘iyahā użunuw wā‘iyah(tun).
[12] That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it.

Fa iżā nufikha fiṣ-ṣūri nafkhatuw wāḥidah(tun).
[13] Then when the Horn is blown with one blast

Wa ḥumilatil-arḍu wal-jibālu fa dukkatā dakkataw wāḥidah(tan).
[14] And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow -

Fayauma'iżiw waqa‘atil-wāqi‘ah(tu).
[15] Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,

Wansyaqqatis-samā'u fahiya yauma'iżiw wāhiyah(tun).
[16] And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.

Wal-malaku ‘alā arjā'ihā, wa yaḥmilu ‘arsya rabbika fauqahum yauma'iżin ṡamāniyah(tun).
[17] And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them].

Yauma'iżin tu‘raḍūna lā takhfā minkum khāfiyah(tun).
[18] That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed.

Fa ammā man ūtiya kitābahū biyamīnihī fa yaqūlu hā'umuqra'ū kitābiyah.
[19] So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record!

Innī ẓanantu annī mulāqin ḥisābiyah.
[20] Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account."

Fa huwa fī ‘īsyatir rāḍiyah(tin).
[21] So he will be in a pleasant life -

Fī jannatin ‘āliyah(tin).
[22] In an elevated garden,

Quṭūfuhā dāniyah(tun).
[23] Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near.

Kulū wasyrabū hanī'am bimā aslaftum fil-ayyāmil-khāliyah(ti).
[24] [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past."

Wa ammā man ūtiya kitābahū bisyimālih(ī), fa yaqūlu yā laitanī lam ūta kitābiyah.
[25] But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record

Wa lam adri mā ḥisābiyah.
[26] And had not known what is my account.

Yā laitahā kānatil-qāḍiyah(ta).
[27] I wish my death had been the decisive one.

Mā agnā ‘annī māliyah.
[28] My wealth has not availed me.

Halaka ‘annī sulṭāniyah.
[29] Gone from me is my authority."

Khużūhu fagullūh(u).
[30] [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him.

Ṡummal-jaḥīma ṣallūh(u).
[31] Then into Hellfire drive him.

Ṡumma fī silsilatin żar‘uhā sab‘ūna żirā‘an faslukūh(u).
[32] Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him."

Innahū kāna lā yu'minu billāhil-‘aẓīm(i).
[33] Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, the Most Great,

Wa lā yaḥuḍḍu ‘alā ṭa‘āmil-miskīn(i).
[34] Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor.

Fa laisa lahul-yauma hāhunā ḥamīm(un).
[35] So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend

Wa lā ṭa‘āmun illā min gislīn(in).
[36] Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds;

Lā ya'kuluhū illal-khāṭi'ūn(a).
[37] None will eat it except the sinners.

Falā uqsimu bimā tubṣirūn(a).
[38] So I swear by what you see

Wa mā lā tubṣirūn(a).
[39] And what you do not see

Innahū laqaulu rasūlin karīm(in).
[40] [That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger.

Wa mā huwa biqauli syā‘ir(in), qalīlam mā tu'minūn(a).
[41] And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe.

Wa lā biqauli kāhin(in), qalīlam mā tażakkarūn(a).
[42] Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember.

Tanzīlum mir rabbil-‘ālamīn(a).
[43] [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

Wa lau taqawwala ‘alainā ba‘ḍal-aqāwīl(i).
[44] And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings,

La'akhażnā minhu bil-yamīn(i).
[45] We would have seized him by the right hand;

Ṡumma laqaṭa‘nā minhul-watīn(a).
[46] Then We would have cut from him the aorta.

Famā minkum min aḥadin ‘anhu ḥājizīn(a).
[47] And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him.

Wa innahū latażkiratul lil-muttaqīn(a).
[48] And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous.

Wa innā lana‘lamu anna minkum mukażżibīn(a).
[49] And indeed, We know that among you are deniers.

Wa innahū laḥasratun ‘alal-kāfirīn(a).
[50] And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers.

Wa innahū laḥaqqul-yaqīn(i).
[51] And indeed, it is the truth of certainty.

Fa sabbiḥ bismi rabbikal-‘aẓīm(i).
[52] So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.
