Daftar Surah

Ṭā Sīm Mīm.
[1] Ta, Seen, Meem.

Tilka āyātul-kitābil-mubīn(i).
[2] These are the verses of the clear Book.

[3] Perhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers.

In nasya' nunazzil ‘alaihim minas-samā'i āyatan fa ẓallat a‘nāquhum lahā khāḍi‘īn(a).
[4] If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled.

Wa mā ya'tīhim min żikrim minar-raḥmāni muḥdaṡin illā kānū ‘anhu mu‘riḍīn(a).
[5] And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.

Faqad każżabū fa saya'tīhim ambā'u mā kānū bihī yastahzi'ūn(a).
[6] For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule.

Awalam yarau ilal-arḍi kam ambatnā fīhā min kulli zaujin karīm(in).
[7] Did they not look at the earth - how much We have produced therein from every noble kind?

Inna fī żālika la'āyah(tan), wa mā kāna akṡaruhum mu'minīn(a).
[8] Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

Inna rabbaka lahuwal-‘azīzur-raḥīm(u).
[9] And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

Wa iż nādā rabbuka mūsā ani'til-qaumaẓ-ẓālimīn(a).
[10] And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people -

Qauma fir‘aun(a), alā yattaqūn(a).
[11] The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?"

Qāla rabbi innī akhāfu ay yukażżibūn(i).
[12] He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me

Wa yaḍīqu ṣadrī wa lā yanṭaliqu lisānī fa arsil ilā hārūn(a).
[13] And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron.

Wa lahum ‘alayya żambun fa akhāfu ay yaqtulūn(i).
[14] And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me."

Qāla kallā, fażhabā bi'āyātinā innā ma‘akum mustami‘ūn(a).
[15] [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening.

Fa'tiyā fir‘auna faqūlā innā rasūlu rabbil-‘ālamīn(a).
[16] Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds,

An arsil ma‘anā banī isrā'īl(a).
[17] [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'"

Qāla alam nurabbika fīnā walīdaw wa labiṡta fīnā min ‘umurika sinīn(a).
[18] [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life?

Wa fa‘alta fa‘latakal-latī fa‘alta wa anta minal-kāfirīn(a).
[19] And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful."

Qāla fa‘altuhā iżaw wa ana minaḍ-ḍāllīn(a).
[20] [Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray.

Fa farartu minkum lammā khiftukum fa wahaba lī rabbī ḥukmaw wa ja‘alanī minal-mursalīn(a).
[21] So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers.

Wa tilka ni‘matun tamunnuhā ‘alayya an ‘abbatta banī isrā'īl(a).
[22] And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?"

Qāla fir‘aunu wa mā rabbul-‘ālamīn(a).
[23] Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?"

Qāla rabbus-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa mā bainahumā, in kuntum mūqinīn(a).
[24] [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced."

Qāla liman ḥaulahū alā tastami‘ūn(a).
[25] [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?"

Qāla rabbukum wa rabbu ābā'ikumul-awwalīn(a).
[26] [Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers."

Qāla inna rasūlakumul-lażī ursila ilaikum lamajnūn(un).
[27] [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad."

Qāla rabbul-masyriqi wal-magribi wa mā bainahumā, in kuntum ta‘qilūn(a).
[28] [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason."

Qāla la'inittakhażta ilāhan gairī la'aj‘alannaka minal-masjūnīn(a).
[29] [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned."

Qāla awalau ji'tuka bisyai'im mubīn(in).
[30] [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?"

Qāla fa'ti bihī in kunta minaṣ-ṣādiqīn(a).
[31] [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful."

Fa alqā ‘aṣāhu fa iżā hiya ṡu‘bānum mubīn(un).
[32] So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest.

Wa naza‘a yadahū fa iżā hiya baiḍā'u lin-nāẓirīn(a).
[33] And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers.

Qāla lil-mala'i ḥaulahū inna hāżā lasāḥirun ‘alīm(un).
[34] [Pharaoh] said to the eminent ones around him, "Indeed, this is a learned magician.

Yurīdu ay yukhrijakum min arḍikum bisiḥrih(ī), fa māżā ta'murūn(a).
[35] He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise?"

Qālū arjih wa akhāhu wab‘aṡ fil-madā'ini ḥāsyirīn(a).
[36] They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers

Ya'tūka bikulli saḥḥārin ‘alīm(in).
[37] Who will bring you every learned, skilled magician."

Fa jumi‘as-saḥaratu limīqāti yaumim ma‘lūm(in).
[38] So the magicians were assembled for the appointment of a well-known day.

Wa qīla lin-nāsi hal antum mujtami‘ūn(a).
[39] And it was said to the people, "Will you congregate

La‘allanā nattabi‘us-saḥarata in kānū humul-gālibīn(a).
[40] That we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant?"

Falammā jā'as-saḥaratu qālū lifir‘auna a'inna lanā la'ajran in kunnā naḥnul-gālibīn(a).
[41] And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?"

Qāla na‘am wa innakum iżal laminal-muqarrabīn(a).
[42] He said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]."

Qāla lahum mūsā alqū mā antum mulqūn(a).
[43] Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you will throw."

Fa alqau ḥibālahum wa ‘iṣiyyahum wa qālū bi‘izzati fir‘auna innā lanaḥnul-gālibūn(a).
[44] So they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, "By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are predominant."

Fa alqā mūsā ‘aṣāhu fa iżā hiya talqafu mā ya'fikūn(a).
[45] Then Moses threw his staff, and at once it devoured what they falsified.

Fa ulqiyas-saḥaratu sājidīn(a).
[46] So the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah].

Qālū āmannā birabbil-‘ālamīn(a).
[47] They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds,

Rabbi mūsā wa hārūn(a).
[48] The Lord of Moses and Aaron."

Qāla āmantum lahū qabla an āżana lakum, innahū lakabīrukumul-lażī ‘allamakumus-siḥr(a), fa lasaufa ta‘lamūn(a), la'uqaṭṭi‘anna aidiyakum wa arjulakum min khilāfiw wa la'uṣallibannakum ajma'īn(a).
[49] [Pharaoh] said, "You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all."

Qālū lā ḍair(a), innā ilā rabbinā munqalibūn(a).
[50] They said, "No harm. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.

Innā naṭma‘u ay yagfira lanā rabbunā khaṭāyānā an kunnā awwalal-mu'minīn(a).
[51] Indeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers."

Wa auḥainā ilā mūsā an asri bi‘ibādī innakum muttaba‘ūn(a).
[52] And We inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be pursued."

Fa arsala fir‘aunu fil-madā'ini ḥāsyirīn(a).
[53] Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers

Inna hā'ulā'i lasyirzimatun qalīlūn(a).
[54] [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band,

Wa innahum lanā lagā'iẓūn(a).
[55] And indeed, they are enraging us,

Wa innā lajamī‘un ḥāżirūn(a).
[56] And indeed, we are a cautious society... "

Fa akhrajnāhum min jannātiw wa ‘uyūn(in).
[57] So We removed them from gardens and springs

Wa kunūziw wa maqāmin karīm(in).
[58] And treasures and honorable station -

Każālik(a), wa auraṡnāhā banī isrā'īl(a).
[59] Thus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel.

Fa atba‘ūhum musyriqīn(a).
[60] So they pursued them at sunrise.

Falammā tarā'al-jam‘āni qāla aṣḥābu mūsā innā lamudrakūn(a).
[61] And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!"

Qāla kallā, inna ma‘iya rabbī sayahdīn(i).
[62] [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me."

Fa auḥainā ilā mūsā aniḍrib bi‘aṣākal-baḥr(a), fanfalaqa fa kāna kullu firqin kaṭ-ṭaudil ‘aẓīm(i).
[63] Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain.

Wa azlafnā ṡammal-ākharīn(a).
[64] And We advanced thereto the pursuers.

Wa anjainā mūsā wa mam ma‘ahū ajma‘īn(a).
[65] And We saved Moses and those with him, all together.

Ṡumma agraqnal-ākharīn(a).
[66] Then We drowned the others.

Inna fī żālika la'āyah(tan), wa mā kāna akṡaruhum mu'minīn(a).
[67] Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

Wa inna rabbaka lahuwal-‘azīzur-raḥīm(u).
[68] And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

Watlu ‘alaihim naba'a ibrāhīm(a).
[69] And recite to them the news of Abraham,

Iż qāla li'abīhi wa qaumihī mā ta‘budūn(a).
[70] When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"

Qālū na‘budu aṣnāman fa naẓallu lahā ‘ākifīn(a).
[71] They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted."

Qāla hal yasma‘ūnakum iż tad‘ūn(a).
[72] He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate?

Au yanfa‘ūnakum au yaḍurrūn(a).
[73] Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?"

Qālū bal wajadnā ābā'anā każālika yaf‘alūn(a).
[74] They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus."

Qāla afa ra'aitum mā kuntum ta‘budūn(a).
[75] He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping,

Antum wa ābā'ukumul-aqdamūn(a).
[76] You and your ancient forefathers?

Fa innahum ‘aduwwul lī illā rabbal-‘ālamīn(a).
[77] Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds,

Allażī khalaqanī fa huwa yahdīn(i).
[78] Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me.

Wal-lażī huwa yuṭ‘imunī wa yasqīn(i).
[79] And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink.

Wa iżā mariḍtu fa huwa yasyfīn(i).
[80] And when I am ill, it is He who cures me

Wal-lażī yumītunī ṡumma yuḥyīn(i).
[81] And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life

Wal-lażī aṭma‘u ay yagfira lī khaṭī'atī yaumad-dīn(i).
[82] And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense."

Rabbi hab lī ḥukmaw wa alḥiqnī biṣ-ṣāliḥīn(a).
[83] [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.

Waj‘al lī lisāna ṣidqin fil-ākhirīn(a).

Auful-kaila wa lā takūnū minal-mukhsirīn(a).
[181] Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss.

Wazinū bil-qisṭāsil-mustaqīm(i).
[182] And weigh with an even balance.

Wa lā tabkhasun-nāsa asy-yā'ahum wa lā ta‘ṡau fil-arḍi mufsidīn(a).
[183] And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption.

Wattaqul-lażī khalaqakum wal-jibillatal-awwalīn(a).
[184] And fear He who created you and the former creation."

Qālū innamā anta minal-musaḥḥarīn(a).
[185] They said, "You are only of those affected by magic.

Wa mā anta illā basyarum miṡlunā wa in naẓunnuka laminal-kāżibīn(a).
[186] You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars.

Fa asqiṭ ‘alainā kisafam minas-samā'i in kunta minaṣ-ṣādiqīn(a).
[187] So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful."

Qāla rabbī a‘lamu bimā ta‘malūn(a).
[188] He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do."

Fa każżabūhu fa akhażahum ‘ażābu yaumiẓ-ẓullah(ti), innahū kāna ‘ażāba yaumin ‘aẓīm(in).
[189] And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day.

Inna fī żālika la'āyah(tan), wa mā kāna akṡaruhum mu'minīn(a).
[190] Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

Wa inna rabbaka lahuwal-‘azīzur-raḥīm(u).
[191] And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

Wa innahū latanzīlu rabbil-‘ālamīn(a).
[192] And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.

Nazala bihir rūḥul-amīn(u).
[193] The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down

‘Alā qalbika litakūna minal-munżirīn(a).
[194] Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners -

Bilisānin ‘arabiyyim mubīn(in).
[195] In a clear Arabic language.

Wa innahū lafī zuburil-awwalīn(a).
[196] And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples.

Awalam yakul lahum āyatan ay ya‘lamahū ‘ulamā'u banī isrā'īl(a).
[197] And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel?

Wa lau nazzalnāhū ‘alā ba‘ḍil-a‘jamīn(a).
[198] And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners

Fa qara'ahū ‘alaihim mā kānū bihī mu'minīn(a).
[199] And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it.

Każālika salaknāhu fī qulūbil-mujrimīn(a).
[200] Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals.

Lā yu'minūna bihī ḥattā yarawul-‘ażābal-alīm(a).
[201] They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment.

Fa ya'tiyahum bagtataw wa hum lā yasy‘urūn(a).
[202] And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not.

Fa yaqūlū hal naḥnu munẓarūn(a).
[203] And they will say, "May we be reprieved?"

Afa bi‘ażābinā yasta‘jilūn(a).
[204] So for Our punishment are they impatient?

Afa ra'aita im matta‘nāhum sinīn(a).
[205] Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years

Ṡumma jā'ahum mā kānū yū‘adūn(a).
[206] And then there came to them that which they were promised?

Mā agnā ‘anhum mā kānū yumatta‘ūn(a).
[207] They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided.

Wa mā ahlaknā min qaryatin illā lahā munżirūn(a).
[208] And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners

Żikrā, wa mā kunnā ẓālimīn(a).
[209] As a reminder; and never have We been unjust.

Wa mā tanazzalat bihisy-syayāṭīn(u).
[210] And the devils have not brought the revelation down.

Wa mā yambagī lahum wa mā yastaṭī‘ūn(a).
[211] It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able.

Innahum ‘anis-sam‘i lama‘zūlūn(a).
[212] Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed.

Falā tad‘u ma‘allāhi ilāhan ākhara fa takūna minal-mu‘ażżabīn(a).
[213] So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished.

Wa anżir ‘asyīratakal-aqrabīn(a).
[214] And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred.

Wakhfiḍ janāḥaka limanittaba‘aka minal-mu'minīn(a).
[215] And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers.

Fa in ‘aṣauka faqul innī barī'um mimmā ta‘malūn(a).
[216] And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing."

Wa tawakkal ‘alal-‘azīzir-raḥīm(i).
[217] And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,

Allażī yarāka ḥīna taqūm(u).
[218] Who sees you when you arise

Wa taqallubaka fis-sājidīn(a).
[219] And your movement among those who prostrate.

Innahū huwas-samī‘ul-‘alīm(u).
[220] Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

Hal unabbi'ukum ‘alā man tanazzalusy-syayāṭīn(u).
[221] Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend?

Tanazzalu ‘alā kulli affākin aṡīm(in).
[222] They descend upon every sinful liar.

Yulqūnas-sam‘a wa akṡaruhum kāżibūn(a).
[223] They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars.

Wasy-syu‘arā'u yattabi‘uhumul-gāwūn(a).
[224] And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them;

Alam tara annahum fī kulli wādiy yahīmūn(a).
[225] Do you not see that in every valley they roam

Wa annahum yaqūlūna mā lā yaf‘alūn(a).
[226] And that they say what they do not do? -

Illal-lażīna āmanū wa ‘amiluṣ-ṣāliḥāti wa żakarullāha kaṡīraw wantaṣarū mim ba‘di mā ẓulimū, wa saya‘lamul-lażīna ẓalamū ayya munqalabiy yanqalibūn(a).
[227] Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.
